This online interactive resource is ideal for Year 1 and Year 2 literacy. Students can utilise the Interactive Story Map to create a story re-tell to help them consider and sequence key events and characters in a story they have read. This resource provides informative feedback as students follow the steps to explore character, setting, problem and resolution of a story. Instructions are delivered by a cute furry cat as he talks and guides them through tasks. Students don't just rely on print text and writing, they are learning through visual and audio cues. Watch this animated Xtranormal (2013) movie which demonstrates how students can learn and enhance their literacy skills by creating characters and describing characters from a range of stories they have read.
